The $10,000 award will support Professor Collins's course, "Caribbean Literature: Literature and Ideas in the Caribbean," which will be held in collaboration with students and faculty at the University of the West Indies.
These competitive awards are granted to those faculty developing courses that bring together UMD students with students from universities around the world using digital technologies. Professor Collins's course will provide UMD students with an innovative and exciting international, cross-cultural, and project-based learning experience.
