Lindsay Bernal, whose poetry collection What It Doesn't Have to Do With is forthcoming from the University of Georgia Press, has been selected for the 2017 National Poetry Series competition.
Lindsay Bernal holds a BA in English 
and Spanish from the University of Virginia and an MFA in Poetry from the University of Maryland, where she has coordinated the Creative Writing Program and taught as a lecturer for over a decade. Her poems have appeared in Blackbird, Gulf Coast, OVERSOUND, Tikkun, and other journals.
