Please welcome Manuel Portela, who will be with us as a visiting scholar from the University of Coimbra (Portugal) for the remainder of the semester.
Manuel is a remarkable polymath, having published on 18th century literature and commerce, contemporary experimental literature, digital humanities, and more. His most recent book is from the MIT Press: https://mitpress.mit.edu/books/scripting-reading-motions. He is also the leading Portuguese translator of William Blake and an authority on Fernando Pessoa, having constructed a digital archive around the many editions of the Book of Disquiet.
